Reading to Mommy
Leon,
A few days ago you were playing hard, running and jumping onto your Cars bean bag chair. You got this chair for Christmas and I knew it was only a matter of time before the inevitable happened. You made one last big jump onto the chair and the seam bursted. I took the chair away and told you I would fix it soon, but no more jumping on it or it would break again. A few days went by and finally I took the time to sew up the popped seam. I brought the chair to you and said "It is all fixed, but no more jumping, chairs are for sitting." You eagerly grabbed a book, sat down in your chair and began to read. You looked up at me with your "I'm being a good boy, aren't you proud of me" face, and of course I was. You read the whole book to me, making up words as you turned the pages. When you were done you stood up and gave me a big hug, then you said "Thank you Mommy!" with a big smile on your face. I think you are happy to have your chair back, and I am very proud of you for being such a good boy. I love you Leon!
~Love, your Mama
