Playing Outside
Washing Your Hair
Leon,
Tonight we had a yummy dinner of mac'n'cheese and sliced apples. After dinner you were fueled up and full of energy, so I took you outside to play in the yard until bath time. You ran around the yard picking up sticks and rocks, giggling with excitement as you put them into your bucket. Each time you found a new rock you said "A rock! Another one!" and you would run off to find more. It was like watching you hunt for Easter eggs.
I new we needed to start your bed time routine to get you to sleep on time, so we went back inside for bath time. You weren't happy about it, but you changed your mind when I added lots of bubbles to your bath. You wanted to wash and kept saying "Soap, soap!" so I put some shampoo in your hands and on your hair. I then tried to teach you to wash your hair, and you did great! I could tell you were very proud of yourself for being such a big boy, and I was proud of you too of course!
With your bath done and pajamas on, it was time for a bed time story. Three books and a quiet lullabye later, you were fast asleep snuggled up beside me. I love good evenings like this. "Night night" and sweet dreams. I love you Leon!
~Love, your Mama
