Stickers are fun...

but not easy to get off hardwood floors.

Leon,

       Stickers, once you discovered them you loved them. You have a sticker book that you love to play with when we have arts and crafts time. I made the mistake of leaving the book within your reach, resulting in a decorated floor in my living room. You looked so cute and seemed so proud of your sticker art that I just couldn't be mad at you. I did however tell you that stickers go on paper in your sticker book, not on floors and walls, but that was after I took a picture of course. I got most of the stickers off, but three stuborn ones remain stuck. I will try scrubbing them off with some "Goo-gone" cleaner sometime later. Thank you for filling my every days with such fun and silly memories. I love you Leon, my little mischief maker!

 

p.s. You made my night tonight when you said "Mommy" for the first time ever! You have always called me Mama, which I love, but it was so cute to hear you say Mommy! Then Daddy said "Do you love Mommy?" and you replied with "I do!" Hearing you say that made me the happiest Mommy in the world!

Two Year Old Molars

Chewing on Popsicles

Leon,

       Waking up from your afternoon nap today was not pleasant. You woke up crying and very upset. After a while I realized it was your mouth that was bothering you. I checked your gums and discovered that one of your two year old molars was trying to break through and that is what was upsetting you so much. I asked you if you wanted a popsicle and you replied with a nod yes while still crying. After two frozen fruit pops, a bowl of frozen blueberries and some Tylenol you were feeling much better. At bedtime tonight I gave you some more Tylenol. I am hoping your new tooth will cut through while you are sleeping and that tomorrow you will be feeling much better. If not we have plenty of popsicles and frozen fruit to chew on to help numb the pain. I love you Leon!

Sleepover!

Night Night

Leon,
       Tonight you and I are spending the night at Nana's house while Papa is out of town. You are sweetly snuggled up with Nana right now sleeping peacefully. You are such a sweet boy, and I love how much you are loved by your family. We are truly blessed. Going to sleep somewhere other than home is always strange, but after a bedtime prayer, some quiet lullabye music and snuggles you were soon fast asleep. Now it is time for Mommy to join you and go "night night" as well. Sweet dreams Sweetpea! I love you Leon!

Cartoons With Daddy

       This evening I was busy in the kitchen cooking dinner. I stepped out into the living room to see what you and your Daddy were up to. What I saw was adorable and made me smile. You were laying on Daddy's shoulder sitting on the couch and watching cartoons. I had to take a picture of you two and capture that sweet moment. I love you and your Daddy so much!

Being Silly & Having Fun

Leon,

       I love your personality. As you have grown your personality has developed as well, and you are becoming a wonderful little boy. You love to play, show off and be silly. This afternoon you were "zooming" your trike up and down the hallway and into the living room. You rolled up to your Daddy, who had his camera out, and pointing at him you said "Hey!" Then you giggled and continued "zooming" around the house. I love that your Daddy took this picture, because it captures your personality perfectly. I love you Leon, my silly little boy!

Toddler Attitude

Mommy: "Can I take your picture?"

Leon: "No!"

Mommy: "I'll give you a lollipop."

Leon: "Cheese!"

Leon,

       You are not camera shy at all, in fact there are times where you show off for the camera. There are also times you defiantly do the opposite of what I want you to do. This afternoon I was trying really hard to get a picture of you smiling. You caught on to this and decided you were not going to smile or allow me to take a picture of you at all. I finally bribed you with a piece of candy in order to get this cute photo of you smiling. Lately you have been this way with many things and it is one of those things we are working on. I know you are simply being independent, pushing limits, testing boundaries, and generally being a two year old. You are a very strong willed little boy. Even in those moments where you test my patience, you make me smile and I am grateful to be your Mommy. They call them the "terrible two's", but I wouldn't say terrible, challenging for sure, but not terrible. I love you Leon!
